Product data management, the nerve of commerce 3.0

The digital transformation of agri-food companies: let's start at the beginning!

What is the axis that runs through an agri-business? The product, of course. And yet, few know how to gather, make reliable, update and disseminate information about their products.

Blockchain, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, etc. It's all very exciting. But let's come back to earth: all this is only a dream as long as the company does not first have complete, reliable, up-to-date and coherent product data. And, unlike the situation in the U.S., England or Germany, the state of affairs in France is not brilliant. Many still believe that the management information provided by the EPR is sufficient. What about the history of the analyses? What about images and videos? What about unsuccessful tests? What about labelling and packaging information? What about the imminent need for the G.M.S. to obtain complete, reliable and up-to-date data from the industry?

So how can we ensure that the information systems, both internal and external, are based on solid foundations, in order to avoid many risks of crises, recalls, false deliveries, delays and losses of all kinds? Quickly create a real product database, a repository on which everyone agrees, and define who does what.

This implies three things: 1/ Of course the use of dedicated computer software: P.L.M., P.I.M., project management, formulation, packaging, quality ..., that's what comes to mind. 2/ But also work that brings together the company's professions. What more useful and effective way to "de-silo" the company than to get the departments to work together to achieve a common language around its products? 3/ Finally, for this to happen, real support is needed, as a lot of experience and expertise is required to steer this joint work.

KEENDOO's vocation, as a software editor for product data management in the A.I., is to provide efficient IT tools, which have been tried and tested in companies of all sizes, but also to provide quality support. This, depending on the company's requirements, can be applied either to a single department, R&D, quality, marketing, packaging, purchasing, etc., or at a cross-functional level in what may be a real company project.
