PLM & Agri-food Eco-design

PLM explained to all

What is a PLM? Farther Now? Almost! Because with this powerful tool, you will increase your performance. This software places product information at the centre of the company. This makes information more reliable, facilitates its transmission and meets the challenges of innovation.  Product data: the axis of this software The acronym actually stands for Product Lifecycle Management. This term refers to software that centralises all the information related to a product and manages it from its conception to its withdrawal from the market: marketing brief, specifications, cost evaluation, quality and regulatory checks, samples, packaging, production planning, launch and termination. Products are now full of data: it is estimated that on average there are 500 pieces of information related to a single product. Thanks to PLM, all this data and documents relating to a product are centralised and can be shared in the application. This allows departments to collaborate throughout the product life cycle: R&D, quality, marketing, first and foremost, but also management, controlling, purchasing, sales, production and logistics. PLM: an aid to collaborative workWith a PLM, the product is a common subject for the company that each department feeds into. It is no longer a jigsaw puzzle of information of which each department holds a part. K-PLM, developed by Keendoo for the food industry, promotes collaborative work on the same version of the project with efficient follow-up management and workflows. For example, it is possible to assign tasks to certain resources, to automatically calculate a schedule, to monitor the project budget, to automatically send a message to the people responsible for the tasks when they are active, to consult a dashboard with the global indicators of the project, or to define a validation process for documents. PLM is an effective tool for meeting the major challenge of innovation: PLM, which centralises all the information on a product, offers the possibility of taking up the history of previous research in an innovation process. To innovate effectively, it is better to start from what already exists or from projects that have already been envisaged. This saves time and avoids repeating projects that have already been considered. Finding the information related to an existing product in the moment is a real time-saver. This time can then be used for new innovation research.  PLM for immediate and efficient simulationsK-PLM also allows you to simulate formulations and instantly evaluate their characteristics such as costs, nutritional values or associated allergens. As a result, you increase your capacity to innovate. Your R&D and Quality departments can fully devote themselves to researching recipe developments, upgrading or creating new products. You then show your customers and consumers your responsiveness, your agility, your ability to respond to customer demand and consumer expectations.  PLM dedicated to the food industryKeendoo's expertise in the food industry has led it to develop a PLM specifically for the food industry. This translates into fields automatically filled in by the program (allergens, nutritional, organoleptic and microbiological characteristics, etc.) and special functionalities: nutritional calculations, access to the Ciqual and USDA databases, labelling in accordance with INCO regulations, to name just a few. These simulations allow us to gain in agility and considerably reduce development times. This powerful tool will make your life easier and increase your competitiveness. Some of the features:
  • Dynamic formulation tool, with or without constraints
