Food blog post: ensuring continuity in the event of absence

Shared product data: absence is no longer a drama!

Unexpected absences: how to ensure continuity?

Heard during containment :

"Fortunately, the product data for the current projects was collected in a KEENDOO database, so we could continue to work together on new products, even when working from home, and we didn't lose a single day on the product release. This was especially valuable in these turbulent times.

This pleases our teams, and gives us the conviction that we are useful (IT specialists often have the complex of being expensive and not useful: "necessary evils").

In fact, we have seen it many times: in an agri-business, where there are not too many managers, the retirement of a central person in the product creation process, or an absence due to illness, maternity, leave or other reasons, or a resignation, can cause serious damage to the company, by blocking or delaying projects: when product information is spread out between departments, on spreadsheets, papers, drawers, etc., it is very difficult to continue working if some of it is missing.

Solution: centralise the data

It is certainly not the only one, but it is one of the reasons why the Americans, the Germans and others have long understood the usefulness of gathering the data produced in a database, shared by all those who work on it, each according to their access rights.

Do you think it has become indispensable too?
