How to make published product sheets more reliable while reducing the workload of the sales department?

Martin, the CEO of Soprodal, brings his teams together for the traditional New Year's ceremony. All the indicators are green: end-of-year negotiations, new listings, new customers, new products... It looks like a busy year! Martin knows that success depends on the collaboration of all the teams.

It is also the moment to announce that Marie-Paule, who has been working in the sales department for years, is retiring, and that her colleague Céline is expecting a happy event...

Evelyne, their colleague, reacts: "But what you don't see is that with these computer transmissions and all this re-keying, e-commerce, marketplaces and all that, our work has become considerably heavier. More and more time spent searching and checking all the information to be transmitted, latest packshots, PCBs, labelling information, product code, EAN 13, etc. And re-entering all this information to publish it on external platforms. And with that, the slightest mistake becomes a drama.

The publication of product sheets to customer platforms must be automated!

And Diane Montagny, the marketing director, adds another layer: "And it's not going to get any better. Customers and consumers want more and more data, more reliable and faster! It should be possible to automate as much as possible and avoid re-entering data.

A product repository, the solution for making product sheets reliable and guaranteeing consumers up-to-date information

Mably, the CIO, intervenes:

- There is the ERP, which contains a lot of information. We have already tried to integrate the visuals, the POS, the nutritional values and all the compulsory labelling information in the pack, the history of tests and recipes, etc. A real gas factory, it doesn't work! The ERP cannot be used as a product reference system. It is not the right tool to centralise all the product data. And to automate the publication of product sheets, you need a PIM. I'm going to look for the software solutions we need.

Jean Villerest, the sales director, heard about Keendoo and got an idea:

- Why not kill two birds with one stone and create a "common product data vault", which would allow everyone to work on the same basis, make the data more reliable and reduce the work of the sales department?

- It's time," says Martin in a determined tone. In 2019, Soprodal is adopting a solution to build a robust Product Repository to secure our assets: our products! It's up to you now.
